You're not forced to support all third party games...you can choose to support games like Dark Souls, Tales of Xillia 2, inFamous SS, Witcher 3, Watch Dogs, etc which don't look like they are screwing over the consumer in any way.  You're making way too many generalizations.

What about the DLC costumes, which used to be in-game in the Symphonia era :P

So expansions are a good thing when Nintendo does them, but greedy when everyone else does it. Lots of double standards in this thread.

There are double standards all over the entire gaming internets, or hadn't you noticed?

If someone says "I only buy Sony consoles" or "I only buy MS consoles", very few people bat an eyelash. But whenever someone claims that they only buy Nintendo consoles, there is almost always, inevitibly some smart ass who pops in with the obligatory "have fun missing out on 3rd party games then" garbage. As if the Nintendo console preferring folks weren't already aware of how things usually are, or didn't already have their own reasons for preferring Nintendo systems.

It's almost as if, in a world where you'd assume most of us are grown adults, that somehow to some folks it's just not okay (see: not "cool") to just let someone prefer Ninty systems if they want to. Pretty silly, if you ask me.

The hell does any of that have to do with my post?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

So what? There is more games that sells a lot at first and equally they drop the price 5-6 months after launch, sometimes a little more. If third-parties are anti-consumer, Nintendo is not too far behind. And don't forget, the budget for wii games was low, I would say they are even more "anti-consumer"

You don't get value proposition do you?

Honda's keep their value FAR better than any other. Yet you wouldn't say they are anti-consumer.

Fact is Nintendo builds teh best game content that over time is STILL WORTH THE ORIGINAL PRICE to consumers.

3rd parties simply don't make that type of game. If they did, then they would keep the price up as well. A company drops price when it feels the value is not longer there and consumer purchasing proves that.

This is why Wii U is selling like crap as the mass consumer doesn't see the value in it at $300 because the mostly see "wii" and that's a $100 hardware. But Zelda Twilight Princess was still $50 (full price) five years after it released because Zelda games retain high value.

I love how you keep saying fact is, when it's not a fact, you just sound like a fanboy, like nintendo is the only company that makes great games.

Its your decision to miss out on quality third-party games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and GTA V and PlayStation exclusives like Infamous: Second Son and The Order: 1886. Meanwhile I'll enjoy them as well as many other great games.

So you will only stick to the WiiU and PS4 this gen?

I can agree with your sentiment to a certain extent. I'll NEVER pay to play online, Fuck that shit! I get free online on my PC, so why the hell should/would I pay for it on a console? If Nintendo starts with that shit next gen I'm not gonna play Mario Kart online. As easy as that.

That's one of the reasons why I don't get a PS or Xbox until very late in the gen, when I know what console exclusives I really want to play. Most 3rd party games can be found on PC anyways.

I love Nintendo's way of doing DLC, and New Super Luigi might be the first ever DLC I'll ever get (once I got me a Wii U that is), but equally, I looove how Ubisoft handled Far Cry 3's Dlc; Blood Dragon! THAT'S how you do DLC!

I never buy a game that's not "complete" without DLC; I don't like getting ass fucked.

PC+Nintendo is the best way to go imo, and get a PS/Xbox late in the gen.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

In what world are they close to Mario? Don't answer.

Closer than anything else not produced by Nintendo. I really liked the last two rayman games.

this just depends what exclusives your into, and many 3rd party games don't come out on PC.

Yup, and that's why I said that getting a PS/Xbox late in the gen is a good idea. I got me a PS3 at Xmas last year, so that I could play Uncharted and Red Dead, and I'm planning on getting TLOU as well. I've played Fable II on X360 at my bros, so I don't feel like I need to get that one...
