If these percentage increases can even be trusted to portray "actual" performance (which I doubt), then 90k is still very nice. That would easily mean it would have a nice opening.

Maybe a lot of pre-orders were happening (but not close to 9m% more, that just can't be real) and MK's numbers glitched?

Well, for your information, the way Amazon calculates those percentages is quite pointless it's just (Previous ranking/current ranking)X100 - 100%..
(90.636/1)*100 =9.063.600%-100% = 9.063.500%
You can do same for the second game it's the same result.
Nice for MK8 though, hope this game would at least give the WiiU a boost to go on par with the two others.
PS: sorry to ruin everyone's hope, it's not 90k or something..

they don't, the percentages are from some funky kind of calculation Amazon does based on sales rank, they are not based on unit sales
