They clearly said the eSRAM size is a limitation in the development... seems like some guys needs to understand eSRAM is giving more trouble to devs than solutions.

eSRAM is making the devs compromisses or Resolution or AA from what I understand.

Can the new SDK change this issue? I guess not because it is related to hardware but maybe MS can do some software magic.

Now matter what you modify you cant turn a toyota car into bugatti veyron.

yeah but if you were to drop that toyota from the clouds, it will travel faster than a veyron.

and slightly off topic but im gonna post this anyway....

Possibly, but it looks as though they are sacrificing frame-rate by keeping it at 792p, which is EXTREMELY confusing considering Respawn's prior statements regarding frame-rate being king. Maybe they wanted to drop the resolution to 720p to ensure a stable, locked 60 frames-per-second?

I guess if it was not that bad press about the Xbone not handling 1080p then they could choose 720p with stable framerate... they choose 792p because they needed to show something over 720p on Xbone due bad press.

360 version is 720p ?   And the Xbone version 792p dropping to 40 fps in more busy situation ? may you confirm this...

”Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”

Harriet Tubman.

The actual quote from his article is this:

"the frame rate dived down to what must have been single digits per second"

It's the only article that says anything close to something that bad about the frame rate so I am inclined to believe it's hyperbole, whether intentional or not. If there was something truly that bad, reviews would at least mention it.

But they all basically say it looks and plays like the beta. In other words, DELICIOUS. I played for hours and hours and only once right after I got into a Titan did I notice a frame rate hiccup.

:( Sad Face.

Its such a shame that titles made for launch window games ( first year ) were all made with the crappy SDK. I guess is to much to much to rewrite the code for the new SDK and Tiling techniques. As more than just a few ings need to be re written as it means changes across the board.

Still @ 720p its higher pixels than Killzone Muliplayer for example, so not to bad. Xmas 2014 will be the 2nd wave of games.

And a patch may yet turn up by the sounds of things with more time to rewrite code. And as its Online only game, everyone will have the new patch.

Keep working on it Respawn. Just rewrite the code even if it takes 6 months. 1080p would be great.

At least this is another developer confirming ESRAM size is the issue.

I can list over 10 articles saying bad things about the framerate... from my mind Eurogamer, Edge, Polygon, etc.

Framerate drops to single digits? That's really bad in this day and age.

Where did you see this?

Did you play the game? Or are just "reading" and "quoting" articles on the web?

Because like JAllard said, the gameplay was delcious during the beta... And apart of those people looking very carefully for any "issue", nobody complained and they actually enjoyed the game very much. I really wonder what you would do all day long without the Xbox One to talk about :)

I was ridiculed on this 3 months ago for saying developers blamed ESRAM size for resolution.

I have been further ridiculed for agreeing with devs that MS February SDK roll out makes it a non issue. With the tiling technique allowing 1080p pretty easily in terms of ESRAM size issues. Developers reporting that before it Xbox One was a developers nightmare in terms of ESRAM 1080p issues. And now its alot easier with the new SDK.

I said back at the beginning of February I doubted Respawn had enough time to take advantage of this even though I hoped so.

All this article does is back all my previous 3 months up, and everyone that continues to say developers were lying or it was PR speak are suddnely gonna now listen to me?

Titanfall has been in development for over 2 years. It hasnt been designed with Februarys SDK. This all further backs the developers claims of the last 4 months.

And the article clearly suggests from Respawn that they will be releasing a patch after some time to increase the resolution.

I played the beta but not in Xbone... so no framerate issue at all but the reviews says it have framerate issues on Xbone.
