It won't stay like that this whole gen, though.

Technically I believe the 3DS was the first of the 8th generation so really it had 100% market share, so really down a third is not as exciting.

Pretty hollow victory given how long its been on the market, and how it won't be the case in about 6 months...

Also if the next Nintendo console or handheld releases in the next two years than is the 8th generation over when we are just now agreeing that it is upon us?

All 8th Gen systems are 3D capable, excluding the PS Vita which is ironically doing the worst. And I am goin to get all 3 Home Consoles, but not because they do 3D, LOL but true.

It has a long lead and no one cares abut handhelds mostly. In the US,.it is a rare for an adult to be seen with a handheld in public for sure.I guess it is an embaressment and makes them feel childish.

Nintendo said the Wii U is 3D capable and that 3rd party Devs can make 3D games for the Wii U excluding Launch titles. Nintendo also said they will make 1st party Wii U games 3D capable if the ownership of how many people who own a 3D TV increases by at least 37%.
