I'd choose PC. It emulates past console gens, even relatively recent ones, including handhelds. It plays a ton of older games, and has better graphics for newer games.

can it emulate ps4 or xbone?

PS3 or PS4. Probably PS3 though as it has incredible value and choice of games nowadays

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

No, but it shares a lot of their games. Also, when I said relatively recent, I meant Wii.

I'm not a PC gamer by any means, but if I were stuck with only one platform forever, it'd have to be PC, because emulation.

PC shouldnt count. It doesnt adhere to generations. Its kind of like cheating. The PS2 was the greatest console of all time imho outside of sales. Whatever game you wanted it pretty much had.

Plus, if you can't ever buy a PC...

you can't really get through modern life without a PC.

I mean you can but it's a real bitch.

I'd choose consoles since I'm more familiarized with it. PS4 specifically. I know PC has emulators and the whole shebang, but I don't like to wait years for a stable emulator and bug-free ISOs, and having to rebuild my computer just to run emulators properly.

3DS or Vita, probably the Vita if I only get one console. My lifestyle just isn't conducive to spending hours in front of a TV: I have to play portable. That, and for three years my PSP made the case that I didn't need a smartphone or an iPod, as it could do everything with the exception of browse the web. My 3DS however, has proven that it can browse the web just fine, along with youtube and netflix.

In my situation PC is actually worse than consoles. I don't have the time to play that many games; I play about 8 games a year and finish about 6, purely because I don't have time in front of a TV like that. Most of the arguments for PC require at least twice that much volume for a middle grade machine to make sense.

There are a lot of gamers like that. I am not one of them.
