Should Nintendo add a Trophy system?

No, it would be pointless. 51 25.50%

i only replay games that are amazing, and lead me to play again. No throphy will make me play a game again, the game will.
I replay nintendo games more than ps360 games, cos nintendo games make you play it again, not the throphies.

I dont mind, but there are people who do. so, no problem. at least if the games continue to incentive me to play for the game, not the throphy.

I never understood the motives for getting trophies. I don't play a game to prove anything to anyone, i play a game to experience it. Very rarely do i find a challenge that has no real reward, but the challenge itself is such that i feel compelled to overcome it.

Take my current experience with rocket-barrel game. Am I going around getting the KONG letters just to prove how badass i am? No. I do it to unlock the K-levels and the Golden Temple. Am I going to be going for all of the high-level time trials? Hell no. The reward really isn't worth it.

Trophies/Achievements would have to fricking give me something to play with before they could make me care. Link it to my Club Nintendo points and you have me sold, otherwise, no.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

no, they can use similar feature but not trophies or else they will be totally copycat, maybe something like medal...

No, I get the feeling you haven't played too many Nintendo games if you are complaining about replay-ability.

I have played Nintendo games exclusively for over 10 years. The PS3 was my first non-Nintendo system. Lol.

Top 10 Games of All Time

1. The Last of Us, 2. Journey, 3. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, 4. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, 5. Bioshock Infinite, 6. Zelda: Twilight Princess, 7. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, 8. Super Smash Bros. Brawl, 9. Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, 10. Starcraft

Add me on PSN. Thanks.

No, Nintendo is for kids and nowadays they're teaching kids that they're all winners so a trophy system would ruin that notion.

I don't replay games because of trouphies, but Nintendo adding a trouphy system will not harm gamers at all. I shall say, Yes, they should add it. Even if I don't care about trouphies at all.

For all thing that nintendo has to do, this is literally the last one that they have to. There is no thing wrong in nitendo that is less important than this. You all know that. In fact, inb4 when nitendo do this ->"why are you adding this? What about a new metroid? chat system? games attached to account? Thirdy party support? Better hardware? Cloud saves? Better marketing? New IP? Damm it nintendo, get your priorities sorted rigth"

So no, nintendo should not, because that alone will not sell that more units and they much more important things to do and they get distracted a lot some times.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Coming from a gamer who owned all last gen systems and currently has a PS4 with plans to purchase a WiiU, I really don't understand the whole achievements and trophies thing.

Maybe because I am an older gamer and we used to just replay games for fun instead of some virtual reward which has no real meaning to me.
