Forums - Gaming - Watch_Dogs downgradeaton confirmed

Disgusting, bad game confirmed. Not buying anymore. I don't care if everything else about the game is awesome or not, I need my sick graphics.

Sorry but from what was promised at E3, to what I see now, this looks crap. Disappointed, really wanted to like this. Makes me worry for the Division.

Are graphics really that important to people nowadays? the gameplay is the same as before so because it got "downgraded" that means is crap now? seriously what the hell...

If you didn't like the game, it should have been from the very beggining...

Immersive "living" world is a important part of a believeable sandbox game, it's hard to say right now, but the reveal gameplay was amazing for me because the visuals were next-gen when we didn't have next-gen officially, and the AI was amazing, very believeable. Visuals took a hit, I'm scared to think AI will too, and we'll end up with Ass Creed level of AI. The streets had a lot of pedestrians living their lifes, all with the company of great physics, I don't want to see that cut off as well. Then there is the story plotline revealed in todays trailer, which honestly sounds very generic.

After todays news, for me actually there is less to be excited about than before.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Yes, is important for inmersive games that try to recreate a world as real as possible, like for example a racer sim like Gran Turismo tries to be.

Basically, graphical fidelity is part of the gameplay in games like this, because if its graphics are so real that you think that what you saw is almost real, you feel more inmersed in the gameplay. That's why the industry push the technology.

The fact that people was hyped for something already announced that will never exist, doesnt' help either. It's like that 15 min demo of Bioshock Infinite that looked way better that the final result.

Sometimes, sometimes not. This game needs to be immersive, from the screenshots it isn't. I'm no grpahics whore, I think I'm quite forgiving actually. But in a lot of cases it's important for games to look at least somewhat good.

1) So that means all sandbox games previous to Infamous are crap (even GTA V)

2) Like you said, hard to say right now, that's pure speculation.

3) That's the only one that has some ground to it. I do agree the story looks very generic.

It's not just about graphics it's about lying to the consumer. Don't show us that beautiful watchdog trailer in 2012 and on Jimmy Fallon if you're just going to dumb it down once the game is released. This is was EA sports does yearly with their sports games.

So that means all sandbox games with bad graphics are crap. If you check the Gamespot video you'll see it looks somewhat similar to GTA V (keep in mind the stream compression), so that means GTA V is crap?

Definitely not. I think most people agree with me that it's not so much the lack of shine and polish but the lack of life about it. GTAIV from 2008 looks better than this, and that's because the world looks vibrant, immersive and alive.

This looks on par with Prototype.

Where the hell did I say if it doesn't look like inFamous it is crap? But why would I be happy that the visuals are worse that they were? Watch Dogs of E3 2012 looked like the most believeable open world game to date, Watch Dogs of March 2014 doesn't.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Check the Gamespot video. Especially from 0:18 to 0:58.

That's looks very alive to me.
