Serious.

Not if done as I described in the OP. Have you read it? I agree that Mario shouldn't appear on mobile devices, but Brain Age is another story.

There are many reasons why Nintendo should never go Mobile!!! And one of them is that if you release games for other Hardware than you lose sells of your own hardware ;) So if Nintendo releaseing Brain Age on other Platforms than they sell less own Hardware. And you can say this with ever other game too!!! Maybe Brain Age is a good fit for a Mobile Device, but in the end it is not good for Nintendo!!!

Simple, release those games and Super Mario Bros. Charge for jumping a little higher and BAM, there you have it, unlimited money!

Can't really tell if you're being serious or not...

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Boy, you opened a can of worms, a can that was clearly marked "worms" and each worm wearing a prideful smile and a mario hat.

I know this won't go down well with some/most Nintendo fans, but I'd love to see the arguments AGAINST my OP... This way mobile sales wouldn't detract from the 3DS, and Nintendo would earn money. Besides, these are games that Nintendo fans mostly don't care that much about (except Pokemon ofc ^^).

And as a Nintendo hater (j/k), what do YOU think if my arguments? Oh btw, I didn't come up with that pokemon idea *hint hint nudge nudge*

I've been told not to talk to you, "thief".

Whaaat?! I said I could credit her, but she wouldn't have none of that ^^ But I guess that one does what the misses says when you're pussy whipped a nice guy ^^

Fine,

I think Nintendo will *HAVE* to approach the mobile market, soon, to stay relivant, handheld market is shrinking but not dissapearing, theirs still space for them in the handheld console industry but that alone isnt enough to survive on, their home console prospects are a joke right now, and even if they scrapped it and tried to release something new all they would be doing is resetting their install base to zero with no guarantee that the new console would fare any better (and potentially has less chance to do so due to competition), that leaves them with a minimum 3 year wait for a new console release where the additional power to price prospects puts them in a position to steal some of the ps4/xbone thunder, but again, even this is at the risk of timing putting them in last place spec wise, if sony and microsoft were to even just tease something new within a year of that too.

Mobile is a market they could do well in, if they don't at least try, things are going to be extremely tough for them for the next 4-5 years.

How would releasing Brain Age and Nintendogs on smart devices impact on their HW sales, when these two titles hardly can be described as system sellers any more, and they're sales disappointments this time around. No one is buying a 3DS for these games now, so releasing them on smart devices wouldn't mean less sold HW, but it would also meaning strengthening the Nintendo brand name as they would reach a wider audience (just like in 2005-2010).

They could also release a Wii Fit for mobile, since soccer moms won't buy a Nintendo console to play those games anymore. Nintendo could use the mobile market to get those people that wouldn't buy a peice of GAMING hardware to play Nintendo games. What Nintendo would get is, 1) money, 2) wider brand recognition, 3) lure parents to buy Nintendo consoles because they know the name Nintendo, and would probably prefer them over SOny or Microsoft.
