And well, Darth Vader is a pretty dark guy, I mean, he's one of the most famous villains in history for a reason. So it does make sense.

In all seriousness, I don't REALLY care, as I like TP, OoT 3D, Skyward Sword, etc...anything except the Celda style. Not that it doesn't look good but Wind Waker JUST got remade and we got enough of Toon Link on the DS too. I'd be happy with anything as long as it looks really clear, crisp and beautiful as most Zelda games do on their respective hardware. For the sake of the franchise though, and just because it HAS been a while, I would lean towards the tech-demo, pseudo-TP style.

Eh, Skyward Sword had a kind of so-so art style, at least to my eye. TP has it's own problems. With the exception of the Twilight content, which was gorgeous and alien exactly like it was supposed to be, the rest of the game just looked like bland, generic fantasy 80% of the time.

For this one? I think the stuff we've seen from the alpha builds were fine. It's colorful, but not over the top. Detailed, but not zealously so. Cartoony, but not childish. It's a good middle-of-the-road style which looks great with Zelda, and reminds me a lot of Ocarina.

I don't think they'll make this any time soon, but I hope they make a Zelda game with the art style of Shadow of the Colossus. Bloom lighting and diluted colors, with a Link in his fifties. Heck, this would work great with a Majora remake, too, as you could dilute color everywhere except in the final fight, when BAM, full color fight for the climax.

Sorry for being the bearer of bad news, it looks pretty damn awesome... after my browser finally cached the thing. The reflected lighting off the floors in that tech demo blew me away, look at the fire in the background of your gif even, people who say the wii u can't render pixels with the big boys should be handed that gif and some crow to eat :D
