Forums - Sony - Does the PS4 have a weakness?

No BC, price is higher than the Wii U, no games, fee for online service, power difference isn't nearly as much as people make  it out to be, inferior exclusives to Nintendo, and of course, Sony themselves (Financial situation).

That said, Microsoft's list of weaknesses is 10x that of Sony's.

the price is the ps4 strongest card

It doesn't have many weaknesses but it's main threat is a dying console gaming market.

Yes, it has a small exhaust port a little over two meters wide...

Awesome post that I missed the first time through.

Yes.  Not only do I read threads.  Sometimes, I re-read them.

It does: Sony.

Like te guy above said, Sony and its financial situation now, but at least they are making the right decisions lately. So, it should be ok.

To me the main ps4 weakness is the lack of a good rpg right now. So weakness is not the console by any mean, it comes from games. As of now I'm playing my xb1 more because they released plant vs zombies in a major draught period.

Weakness number 2 is titanfall not being released on ps, it would have been a nail in xbox coffin in the us.

I'm glad I have both console but you can definetly see and feel the ps4 stronger hardware when comparing both. I really wish we had more game to play with though.

RIP ps3, xbox360.

welcome home ps4 and X1

Oh, PvZ is a good RPG? ;)

As far as the industry goes, no, not a significant weakness because the competition screwed up so badly.

Nintendo had a year's head start and they are a huge brand name in both NA and Japan. Had they released basically the "Super NES" equivalent of the Wii at a $250 launch price and learned from the 3DS post-launch regarding a steady stream of must-have games they'd be sitting pretty right now.

Similar to Nintendo's decisions, Microsoft abandoned everything that made the 360 such a hit last gen - a nicely priced system focused on games. Regarding NA, it was Microsoft's gen to lose.

Sony would have likely taken Europe this gen no matter what, but even with all of the right moves by Sony I think Ninty and Microsoft could have at least kept Sony's WW dominance at bay.

Now for me personally, the PS4's weakness thus far are its games. Even on the horizon nothing is really appealing to me (not just from Sony, but from the industry in general) except for Ninty's games... even if they do only come every few months.

@Conina do not take advantage of my english weakness lol. I meant I would be 100% on ps4 if it had a good rpg, as of now I'm bored of every game on it. On the other hand pvz on the xbox, even though its far from an rpg, is the only game that I enjoy rite now.

Fair enough, but to be a weakness, the offering (release games) or prospect (announced games) of the competition should be better.
