Yes but why not have a dedicated online store through their in game menus? Just to sell DLC and nothing else. This way i can download and play the dlc on which ever console i want. They can limit it to 2 accounts if they want. You can choose 1 account on xbox and another on ps and download the DLC on both but only pay for it once.

Because MS/Sony want a cut of the DLC

Of course not. The same how the xbox disc won't work in the PlayStation. Stupid Activision for not letting me put xbox discs in a PlayStation.

different in the sense that you pay for the content for a certain console that won't work on the other console?
