With the success story of the fastest selling console continuing today with PS4 becoming the 8th gen leader 3 months after launch, when will the milestone of 80% marketshare come to fruition? If at all. It almost looks a foregone conclusion at this stage in the game. 

I believe by January 2020, PS4 should comfortably take at least 80% marketshare. This was such a focal point of the PS2 era that ALMOST came to pass but never happened.

at this time i cant even see it going past 60%, with those numbers giving it 57% it is even risky to say that %50 is achievable b/c of the margin of error in my projections being made this early in the gen

its impossible, when their opponent is Microsoft, MS will do whatever they could to maintain their market share in their homeland. Huge advertisement, AAA+ game, price cut when Titan Fall release is a good example. :(. If Sony can maintain the current market share of PS4, I consider it a succeed :3

Why stop at only 80% market share and say it will be closer to 90% or 100% market share? All XBox Ones and Wii Us sold for parts and converted into PS4s to push the PS4 towards 100% market share.
