I really don't. Nintendo tried to capitalize on yet another underpowered console where they can make as much money as possible for as little cost. Development costs and production costs. It just so happens that their greed caught up to them and they suffered because of it. They didn't catch the casual market and only the Nintendo fans will support them without third party support. With third parties dropping support because Nintendo fans don't support third parties, it's not going to draw as many non Nintendo fans.

I'll get a Wii U because I skipped the Wii and there are some good Wii U games, but Nintendo's greed got the better of them.  They did this to themselves.

I think I'm one of the few Nintendo fans who have bought third party games (I have 6 first party and 6 third party games)

Current consoles: Wii U, Gaming PC

I hate saying it, but pity was a motivating factor for me to buy it.

Once SM3DW launched, I said to myself - "This console finally has enough games I'd like to not make it a complete waste of money".

I saved up for months when I was a kid to buy an N64, then later a GameBoy Advance. Nintendo was part of my childhood. I want the company to sustain itself into the future so my kids might someday have the same kinds of awesome adventures with Link, Mario, Star Fox and the gang. I skipped the GameCube, DS, Wii, and 3DS -- so I felt the need to make penance for my more recent neglect of Nintendo by getting the Wii U.

I've since enjoyed the console far more than I thought I would.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

There are actually a lot of people here who have bought third party games, but I mean the general population.

Yes, I do feel kind of bad for it. It's failings aren't really its own. I think Nintendo failed the Wii U, not the other way around.

Nope we should pity the ones who don't own one yet.. That's where I belong, but it's only for financial issues, though I'll get a PS4 first "If ever I could save some money".. Priorities.

*Hotty Sarcasm*

Fixed.

But anyways I'm open for any console, if by any chance some great Zelda WiiU stuff shows up I may change up my mind.

As much pity I can feel for a plastic box.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

Oh....I feel pity alright....not for the Wii U though.

Hopefully they give up making console hardware and only make software. The fact the Wii U is doing so bad makes me at peace.

The world would be a better place if Mario and other Nintendo games were on PS, XB, and PC. This is glorious.

To peace, harmony, and love with Nintendo being third party.

I support everything that will get me Nintendo games on PS4 or PC.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I agree that they did this to themselves but I don't think it was out of greed, just a lack of vision. The Wii was not an attempt to cash in on cheap hardware, it was Nintendo's vision of the future of video games, it worked  splendidly until they foolishly dropped support for the console while they worked on the successor.

With the Wii U, they thought they had once again found something that would change how games are played but this time their vision wasn't shared by well anyone. Even their own games barely use the tablet controller but now they're stuck with it.

The funny thing is that if Nintendo really had been greedy, they could have just went with a super powered Wii. The money saved by not having the tablet controller could have been invested in getting stronger hardware all around.
