UK is a key market that had embraced the X360 but that is dropping the XOne in favour of the PS4. I understand their decision. For the rest of the world, it's just too early to see a price cut.

Just for a point of reference for everyone(hopefully I'm not being foolish by repeating what someone else posted already).

£430 = €520 = $714(Remember that UK has a high rate of VAT)
£400 = €484 = $665

The baseline price in Europe is €500. I pity UK early adaptors. It does seem that MS exploited what they felt was a sure market for growth. But we live in a capitalist society, if you felt the console was worth the money at the price you paid then that was your choice.

North America is going to sit on their ass and wait for a price cut now.
Price cut by region is so dumb.
Great job on the price cut MS in the UK but you need one in NA also.
A NA price cut should have priority over all places.

Means nothing to me though. I'd need the Xbox One to be seriously undercutting the ps4 price before I'd consider one. If PS4 is £349 then Xbox One needs to be £279 approx. I have no interest in Kinect and really its about which is likely to have better exclusive games (ps4 because its more of a world console) and multiformat (because ps4 is more powerful). I'm not motivated at all to get a Xbox one unless its significantly cheaper than ps4 because of these issues. Also I'm a ps3 and vita owner so PSN is going to be great value. I don't subscribe to xbox live so the xbox one will only offer limited functionality like single player games. Again

I'm sure this price cut may create a temporary blip/increase in sales but I don't think it will put the Xbox One back in the race. I expect the ps4 to continue selling at a far higher rate and I still see it moving further and further ahead. The PS4 still represents superior hardware at the same price.
