Forums - Gaming - 360's were built to break

They werent literally built to break but it pisses me off when microsoft claims that that the failure rate on them is 3% when its obviously higher.... why lie why not just admit that they have a problem with the dam thing... everytime i put a movie in or whatever i fear im gonna see the 3 rings of death because the thing is so loud...

"They werent literally built to break" Pssh, way to mislead, I thought you were serious.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Wasn't this already cleared up? I mean didn't Microsoft admit that there was a much higher failure rate in their launch window consoles some time ago, and extend their warranties for that very reason?

Now, if you have evidence that more recent consoles are having simillarily high failure rates, well that's a whole different animal!

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I heard a lot about this a while ago, but haven't seen a whole lot about this problem recently, which leads me to beleive that the problem is no where near as bad as it used to be.

This thread topic flame close please.  Urnote flamed in message where are moderators?  Who moderator here?

Well this "made to break" stragegy isnt original you know. I mean after all, it did make the PS2 one of the best selling consoles.

A delayed game is good someday, a bad game is bad forever.

As a matter of fact, I will close this topic because it's not providing any new information on 360 failures. If the OP can provide proof that current 360s are failing at a rate higher than 3%, then this topic will be ok. As for now, the argument's been settled and we don't need to blow things out of proportion.
