Forums - Nintendo - Some easy changes Nintendo can do to energize it's base. Add your thoughts!

I'm sure some of you have already seen me post this many times but at this point what does NIntendo have to lose? They need a achievement system. The achievement system wheather you like it or not adds something to games. Many gamers if you have not noticed have addictive personalities, Not all but many. So putting in achievements for games Like Super Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, You name it, would only add to the game play value. This system would be easy and I couldn't think of a better way then using Coins and stars as earned credits. 100 Coins per game and a star if the game is completed of coin tasks.

Another thing I would like to see since they are on a 2D game kick.

A new edition of " Super Metroid ( Wii U)"

Super Metroid "Hailed as one of the best 2D adventures ever, Nintendo's sci-fi epic still provides one of the most thought out and intriguing gameplay experiences around. Players once again slip into the role of galactic bounty hunter Samus Aran and in an interesting twist on the previous games, attempt to retrieve the last surviving Metroid. Ranging from extensive platform challenges to gigantic boss battles to a comprehensive power- up system, Super Metroid has attained a divine place in the hearts of longtime gamers. Certainly, it stands as something players and developers can idolize for years to come."

This game was one my all time favorite games. I have played and beaten this game many, many times and will most likely get the itch to play through it again soon.

Another game that I would love to experience a new edition to is  Zelda II: the adventure of Link

This game was one of a kind and different from all the other Zelda's. This game was great and I played this non-stop as a kid.

Now there are many games I would like them to add or reinvent but what games would you like to see?

Also I think Wii U should have the option to play 3DS games on the Wii U, like the gamecube did with DS, this should have been a built in slot from Launch. Allowing you to play your 3DS game on the Wii U, Save, take the game out and continue gaming on the go with your 3DS.  This would add substantially to the Wii U game library and over all appeal. I love the games on my 3DS but I wish I could play them on My Wii U as well. They could add the same achievement system to your 3DS, however if you Get 100 coins you could get a Mushroom instead for distinction. However your coins could be added together for a final score, with Mushrooms and Stars showing the difference between what you have played. They could have a screen with a star for your Wii U games and a screen with a mushroom for your 3DS. Obviously showing the games, amount of coins per game and a option to look through what you already have done.

This would be easy for 3rd party to do, as they already do achievements on both other systems.  Now A lot of this can easily be added as Sony showed us last gen. It was a great Idea MS came up with and Sony was quick to capitalize on it. When I  bought a Wii U, I was upset they didn't include a achievement system, even my girl wants a achievement system and thought it would have had one. So this was a let down when we started playing the Wii U. My girl is also a completionist and does so with the Mario games etc. They need to push for more, not just look at a great ideas and ignore them.

One thing they need to push for is more Co-op games for there internet service. This little trick pushes friends to get another Wii U just to play with their friends with out leaving the comfort of there own homes. Not only that but if they can't leave the house due to any number of reasons, this helps to connect them to the people they most care for.  My brother in law got a Xbox One just so we can play games together, Many people do this. I think many third parties see that Nintendo does not get this and is a reason why they refuse to push their games hard on the system. People act in certain ways just to be social. A Achievement system also helps with competition. I am always competing with my Brothers achievements, Which creates more game sales.

I have added many things that I think are simple and can be achieved very easy. So what do you think can be added and made to energize the Nintendo crowd?

Also what do you think of my ideas?

Around the Network

I'm sure many here want to see Nintendo exceed as do I but you must admit that they have dropped the ball a few times.

I think these few things I named are huge besides my interest in game remakes or add ons. What do you think?

I think nintendo also has the same idea. But they get rejected because of poor transition ideas. And budjet is also a big factor.

Achievement system is good idea. But rest of the ideas will not be implemented because nintendo might be focusing on next system and will do minimum so that wii u owners dont think nintendo abandoned wii u.

No achievements please. I would rather Nintendo focus on getting third party support for their next console. Sit down with third party developers and ask them what it would take to get them on board. Nintendo games and quality will make the system unique. No need for motion controls or game pads.

Go for an architecture similar to the PS4 and Xbox One and keep it under $300. I don't care if third party games are lower res., I get to play Nintendo games!

Greenlight and fund "Shadow of the Eternals" -- basically the Eternal Darkness sequel -- for continued WiiU development. They've filed extensions to the copyright, but haven't developed a game under that brand since GameCube

With Bayonetta 2 deal, they clearly want to bring more "hardcore" gamers into the fold. SotE would be perfect as it:
-appeals to the general hardcore fanbase
-appeals to the loyalist Nintendo fanbase
-Is already a work-in-progress rather than something that has to be built-ground up
-has dev team members that have worked with Nintendo before
-Looks great. If anything like the original, has fantastic story and gameplay.

The team making this needs Nintendo's money. They failed to raise the Kickstarter funds necessary to continue 2x.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
