Which one is more appealing?

Kinect-less Xbox One. 98 37.84%

Tablet-less Wii U with pro controller. 160 61.78%

Total:258

Neither is especially appealing to me. The GamePad IS the WiiU, the Kinect IS the X1. Those are the things that make each system special, that allow for gaming experiences unique to each platform. That being said, both Nintendo and Microsoft need to do a better job of taking advantage of their own hardware.

there's no tablet on wii u.

WiiU would definitely be shit without the GamePad.

The Wii U Gamepad functions are integrated throughout the console. As much as many users here wish to not admit it, the Gamepad isn't an optional add on and was intended for the console's UI use throughout it's development.

The Kinect 2.0 is more of a glaring add on and shouldn't have to be shoe-horned it. The problem also stems from it's an upgrade from what was ALREADY established as an add on. The Gamepad, however, debuted on the Wii U.

WiiU without the gamepad is just a Wii HD, so no, I'll say Xbox One

Those of you voting to remove the gamepad... haven't used it for a good amount of time.

The simple benefit of off-tv play is priceless to me.

Though for you all who are kids/young who either game in your room or live alone and thus don't share the TV won't understand why I guess.

Plus, I think ZombiU proved to me how awesome the separation of the two screens does to gameplay.

Both consoles are overpriced.

Once the Wii U hits $200 it'll take off pretty decently, and frankly there's no reason why it isn't at that price. The innards aren't particularly powerful and the controller is cheap to manufacture (seriously, there are $40 tablets that cop a profit that have more technology than that Wii U pad). I'm also not a fan of the Xbox One being weaker than the PS4 and having a $60 fee to use Netflix (as well as game online and Games on Demand, etc; but I primarily use online streaming options that should be included if you pay for em).

Hm. Why would anyone want either? At $199 who would buy a Wii U sans gamepad that wouldn't buy it for $299 with a gamepad? They'd just buy a ps360 instead. Same goes for XBONE. Except for Microsoft fans they'd just buy a ps4 instead.

Neither.

Wii U. Can't beat Ninny exclusives.
