Pretty sure you'll have more potential audience with XB.... PS has already a ton of content... It'd be like trying to do the next big cat video...
Nintendo first especially if you do handheld too... XB second especially if you talk about other MS projects in relation to XB or gaming... And then PS and include vita if you do maybe a little mobile...
I'm saying that cause tags (accurate ones) help your SEO and can build up an audience... And I think MS gaming related video can have more relevant tags than PS....

but it's your show, your choice

I'm not interested in any kind of talk show. ...That doesn't help you much, sorry.

If anything, the popularity of the PS4 is, indeed, a double-edged sword.  While its popularity means more people will be playing and looking for PS4 content, it also means a much more crowded space of people attempting to cash in on its popularity by providing said content.

At the same time, there is one more forum I haven't polled, mostly because the Wii U section is so slow, I haven't really been able to have any real discussions, lol...  I'll poll them today, and see if it changes the outcome (which I doubt), though!

Yeah that's what I meant... You'll have more competition with PS4
I checked your work afterwards btw... I like your format and style... It needs polish but for an amateur (??) this is rather good, fun and easy to "consume"
I'd watch it if you did one for Xbox one... Heck I might even watch the Wii U ones... If you care to post new ones in the Xbox nation thread...
anyway good luck...

Zyro, you're a video blogger right? I was just wondering if YouTube paid well for V-loggers like yourself

I have an official thread in the Nintendo section, you're welcome to tag it as I update it on a weekly basis when new episodes air

No, I'm more of a content creator, in which I'm doing a low budget talk show around the Wii U currently.

About the pay, it's VERY hard to explain, but the simple matter is that it pays for those who have a business plan, and aren't just hoping to throw their face and voice on YouTube and achieve massive popularity.  It's one of those things that takes time, like the saying "Rome wasn't built in a day".

In other words, if you want to try it for the hell of it, chances are it may not get far unless you really have something that can go viral (essentially, general appeal, wide audience, of which videogames are not considered "mass appeal").  But if you want to try it because you're serious about turning it into something larger, then serious time and dedication are required, but will generally payoff at later date (I mean, like anything, the initial investment and "launch" window are always pure losses; money going in, nothing coming out).

Hope this helps

You know what's more profitable? A normal job.

Where do you think I'm finding the money to do this?  Despite it's low budget, my money comes from working.

The real fun part of these kinds of statements is that most people with a "normal" job hate their jobs.  I love doing these videos, so if/when it becomes profitable, I get to have fun and get paid doing it.  Problem?

If I ever find myself doing a job I hate I'll tell you, until then if making the videos is fun for you then just keep making them and build a fanbase from your content rather than how many forums you can fish for viewers on.

From my experiences with YouTube view performance the ones that are linked by friends or stumble on your videos themselves are the ones most likely to subscribe and give you the hits you need, forum viewers are more often than not once-or-twice hits.

Tldr; the strength of a YouTube channel is in its content not the number of forums you link spam.
