Before you guys start bashing me please read what I wrote. Its a known fact taht ps4 is the most powerful console out there. And has good raw power to make games look and feel awesome. But there are two facts.

1. PS4 is the most powerful console.

2. Its still a console and power connot exceed given horsepower (1.84 tflop).

Now we are seeing many games are running 720p and 900p in competitors systems and general gaming people dont give a damn. We tech savvy people or gaming media cares. Most of the games have similar textures but resolution and framerate different.

Now what if (in 2016/2017 this might be true) many games especially first party sony studios start making PS4 games at 720p / 900p with jaw dropping graphics? They use the advantage of resolution for jaw dropping graphics. The resolution might be lower but those awesome graphics will impress everyone.

What do you guys think? Will you accept jaw dropping graphics (compared to competitors games graphics) with the same exact resolution (700p / 900p)? Or do you guys want a little better graphics at double resolution (1080p)?

Owww the horror. The worst part is to imagine if a multiplat have 720p on Ps4 what would they do to X1?

I hope if they need to Drop res it is a gigantic world with a lot going on screen and nice effects to justify. If not it will be trashed.

I would take jaw dropping graphics at 720p / 900p instead of slightly better 1080p.

I want 1080p! To be fair, I think Ryse is 900p? It looks great. So it can be done. But for me AC4 is so much better in 1080 on ps4 than the 900 on xbo it looks grainy, pixely and gets more choppy at times than the ps4 version. So it comes down to how the devs make the game.

I think it will get better for xbo when these devs move off the last gen systems and get new gen engines running to pull out more power from these consoles.

And no this is one of the few things Obama has nothing to do with fucking up.

As games get bigger so will dev skills on the system.

You speak the truth. People want system to be cheaper and powerful at the same time. Back in those days driver 3 run (in general all ps2 games) were technically inferios to xbox games and nobody seemed to care about it.

Depends on how much they push the hardware. Games like the Uncharted series and The Last of Us run laps around games like Madden graphically even though they're at 720p/30fps and Madden is 1080p/60FPS.

Sounds like PS4 and X1 being the opposite.  Hard to care about a game here and there when you get so many awesome exclusives as PS2 got.

You can't get a jaw dropping graphics with such low resolution. It's nonsense.
