Forums - Gaming - Candy Crush Saga Makes Close To 800K Per Day In Revenue!!!!

Holy hell i just thought it would be interesting to see how much this game makes, after hearing about Flappy Bird's 50K per day, and i don't even know what to say anymore.

No wonder Google and Apple are not directly competing with Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo. They're trying to replace the whole business model behind console gaming!!

Ads and Microtransactions mainly.

Maybe royalty as well, i'm not sure how the last one would work though!

i understant the microtransaction part but the ads part i dont get cause in the rare occassion i play any of these free to play games they show  u other free to play games how then is money earned to pay the next one!

I have seriously no clue what this game even is about lol. At least I have heard about it, that Flappy Bird game was something I first read about in a VGC thread I think yesterday.

And now you see why these games are bigger than basically any console game or franchise.

Life isn't fair. This just further proves that point.

In Candy Crush specifically, microtransactions, you'd be surprise how many people pay $5 bucks to get extra lives or power ups. Also given it's popularity, King also sells Candy Crush merchandise.

In the case of Flappy Bird which doesn't have microtransactions, that money comes purely from publicity.
