The Verge has a serious MS slant, like Polygon (they're assotiates) so over hyping MS related stuff on their part should be expected, at least they will appear "neutral' when it's highly negative.
Seriously, an FPS with vehicules, mechs walk but they're vehicules, and 6 vs 6 matches along with cannon fodder enemies (have you seen the videos, they barely move...).
Many will return to CoD after a week or two of this... the gunplay is the exact same and you have these useless "enemies" that were supposed to be made super intelligent by the cloud technology that do nothing...
or they will go back to BF4 (bigger matches with actual humans... and a greater variety of vehicules)
and none of these games are "generic" or generic looking, anyone can recognise which one they are looking at when they look at screenshots of one or the other, BF4 and CoD have different play style too (CoD players always complain how BF4 is slow and has no action...).
