I think Pachter is missing the point. It's not for PS4 games (unless you don't have a PS4). It's more for the back catalog.

well sony doesnt have so much good selling 1st party titles. u dont buy ps4 for 1st party, u buy it for 3rd party...

Not according to Pachter.  He says that Sony is not large enough to pay for 3rd party content like Netflix does.  I guess he completely forgot about PS+, lol.  PS Now will be just like PS+, start out small but grow to the great value PS+ is today.  I'm sure Sony is going to charge a sub fee for PS Now.  Half will probably go towards paying 3rd parties for libraries of games they no longer publish on disc, ~25% will go to upkeep, and the remaining ~25% will to Sony as profit.

Now that I've seen the whole Bonus round I realise that this quote was completely out of context. It was just one of the mentions why Pachter thinks PSNow is going to fail. His main point was that Sony will not be able to secure enough 3rd party titles so their own library wouldn't be big enough to sustain the service.

He also said that if the subscription price is too low they won't get any content and if it is too high they won't get enough subscribers. That is just simple math. He said the peak subscription number would be 1 million and that they won't keep them that high.

Also that one guy who said he liked it has obviously no idea how the internet works. Saying that PS1/2 games will have noticeable lower latency than PS3 games is just bullshit.

Still BS see Ps Plus. Its more for back catalogue, pachter is a moron.
