Thing is that already happened with Peach. Super Princess Peach. Look it up, it was pretty good. I'm thinking instead maybe someone captures Wario and Waluigi, the (anti-)heroes of her kingdom, and Mario and Luigi and Peach don't want to help, so it's up to Daisy. Not sure how else you'd make it unique though. Daisy always seemed more of a tomboy and tougher than Peach, so maybe they make it like Super Princess Peach storyline wise, but make Daisy tougher and more action oriented, like Lara Croft. Badass Princess, you know? She'd get all sorts of fans then.

Well yeah, we all want that, but come on, some of their characters literally exist to go to parties and race go-karts and play sports! Daisy and Waluigi practically are new characters! Every other character in those games you can ask "so what Mario game are they from?" and there's an answer. But not with Daisy and Waluigi. The answer is just "Nintendo made them up so you'd have a few more characters to play". Details about them exist here and there, but they deserve to have something to really develop them and set them apart from the other characters, so why not their own game with unique gameplay? It'd stil be a new IP, and the character would be almost new.

Super Mario Universe. Main game is an infinitely expanding procedurally generated platforming experience, and there's the ability to create user generated levels and worlds in the style of project spark or disney infinity.
