I watched the gamexplain analysis and they do shed some light on the game systems in place.

I must say... i might be falling on the Sonic cycle. I like that this game is taking steps in the right direction. Story, cooler, emphasis on exploration aswell and not only on speed. Central hub.
Its just a shame for poor Knuckles, but if this team can pull it off, we can see Sonic beeing lifted to a sucessful franchise again.

its going to suck cuz...

1. Its Sonic

2. The Graphics ehhhh

3. Not made by Sonic Team

4. Not SAB(2) or Generations

All i have to say is i hope to god this game shuts people up and becomes the best 3D sonic to be released!

- "We took the best of what we know from those games [Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank] and applied it to what works for Sonic canon"

- "It was important to make sure that it feels like a Sonic game."

- "Speed is an important aspect of it, but exploration, combat and the strong narrative of the storyline are very big aspects of the game, more so than I would say in the past."

Quotes like these got me excited for Sonic Boom awhile ago. Reviews are disappointing to say the least. However, I'd someday like to actually try the game myself still.

Given how well the TV show is doing, maybe SEGA will do a better job with the franchise next time?

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
