The smartphone market has truly erupted like a giant volcano in recent years.Estimates say that a billion of smartphone have been sold already and that number is only going to grow.Apple users seem to can't stop buying anything the company releases with each new product making record sales and improving on their legacy.Android is the new king with a wide range of devices for all tastes and prices.Windows is the rising force trying to get a larger piece of the pie.Other os hold smaller audiences but keep fighting for a place in the sun like Blackberry or the newly released Firefox os.So what's your side on this?Which company won your hard earned money and why?Are you a loyal consumer or are you jumping ship in the next months?

Android cause its customization is endless, and not only that, it has millions of apps and tons of different types of phones to choose from... And the best part is, If I go from one phone such as HTC One to an S4, I can keep all my apps and settings and etc so the transition is easy... So yea, I love Android cause it gives you more choices than every other OS on mobile

Android I suppose but I don't really like using my dumb smartphone (hand me down Galaxy 1).  I just want to use my PC every time I try to use it to surf or whatever  (just using WiFi cause I don't pay for internet on phone).  I view the phone as a waste of time and there are only a few games/apps that I actually enjoy (Operation Barbarossa TBS game). I'm obviously an old timer cause I can get by with a dumb phone and I see very little benefits from any apps.

Yes android is my pick too.Lot's of variety in the playstore and in the devices range as you said.Apple store may be more focused on certain devices but even the entry level is too high for my tastes.

i don't have a preference really. they all have internet and camera. from a development standpoint i do love ios the best.  the xcode ide 4 and up is the finest ide i've ever used.  The android tools set in conjuction with eclipse is not as elegant and no where near as intuitive.

Interesting to hear from a developer's point of view.So in general is it easier to build from scratch an ios game than android?How hard is to port from one os to another?

I've owned an IPhone and currently have an Android and have played around with Windows phones a lot. They are all good but none are perfect. All have their strengths and weaknesses. I'll be getting a Windows phone next though.

Android because Android. Actually because all the phones I want and own come with android so there really is not much choice for me.

Android since it's basically Windows/Linux for phones.

Lot's of choises in the android market for sure.A lot of the premium devices are excellent too in my opinion.
