The Vita needs more western type games to fare better in the US. Call of Duty Declassified isn´t the best selling Vita game in the US for nothing. Also as mentioned before, release the Slim Vita in the US and make memory cards cheaper.

Turns corner. Walks off of cliff.
Really, I'm pretty satisfied with the Vita's run. It wasn't my main portable and I have a ton of games for it. It did okay in its short life. If it dies tomorrow, I have my money's worth. Sometimes you just have to accept the writing on the wall.
In japan yes. Its selling a decent amount on a weekly basis without any killer new releases, hopefully after the spring releases it will start averaging 40k.
Europe is fairing better then the US, but still not really solid sales. Im interested to see what PS Now will do for it in the states this summer. In the EU Minecraft, FFXHD and Borderlands could give the system a new lease of life, but they all need to be launched mere weeks apart.
Nope. Wii U was the 4th best-selling platform weekly for a whilem but that didn't mean it was saved.
It's been doing well in Japan and acceptable in Europe and even "Other" for a while now, but they have to do something about North America already.
People talk about systems being dead all the time, but just under 4k? That's not just "dead xD", that's ACTUALLY fucking dead. NA was the only region where holiday sales were actually DOWN year over year. It's inexcusable.
I get that they're probably delegating all their resources towards making the PS4 a success in the region, it IS the Xbox stronghold after all... But really now. Launch has come and gone, and the PS4 has done better than any of us could've ever imagined in the region, things will be fine. It's time to start funneling a little bit of that fun money towards advertising and rebooting the Vita in the region.

I just picked out a random week from 2012 in February.
The 3DS was outselling the Vita globally by a ratio of over 12 to 1.
In all seriousness, why does it even matter if it sells well? They will keep making good games here and there for it. It isn't like there has been a huge slew of spectacular games releasing constantly, that is at risk of being stopped or de-funded because of bad platform sales. It will continue to move slowly along as it has since initial release, and release a few (4-7) great games per year until they sunset it.
