Forums - Gaming - Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor skipping Wii U, doesn’t have multiplayer

[Sauce]

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor developer Monolith has confirmed that the game will not have a multiplayer component and will not launch on the Wii U.

The developer announced the details on Twitter, saying the game is a single-player-only experience, with no co-op or mutliplayer.

When asked to confirm which platforms are currently planned for the actioner, the developer mentioned PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. With no mention of Nintendo’s WiiU.

We recently learned that the game will have a nemesis system that creates procedurally generated enemies.

Are you disappointed in the lack of co-op or multiplayer?

PSwi60's thoughts: NO Multiplayer? BS! Well, at least, IF I decided to to purchase it I have another medium to play it on.

Skipping Wii U isn't news. When a game comes to Wii U... now that's a story!

Nintendo would kill for the kind of 3rd party support Ouya gets. :-p

I thought the Wii U would get a ton of support just because it has specs at par or better than PS360. Ports clearly take more effort than I presumed.

nah. Nintendo does not know how to work with 3rd parties

Not surprising it is skipping Wii U and I don't really mind that there won't be multiplayer. Hopefully that will mean that the single player will be that much better.

Wouldn't be surprise me if this game bombs (or at least under performs) commercially and critically but I'm cautiously optimistic. Monolith have made some stellar games in the past.

When someone compares a Nintendo console with Ouya, you know something is definitely wrong.
