Its really scary when I see mobile games (from my point of view these are not proper games) making a ton of money. Good for the devs. Have anyone played this game?

Puzzle & Dragons IP Grossed Almost $1.5 Billion in Sales, Over 90% of GungHo Sales for 2013

GungHo released their fiscal year earnings today and their Puzzle & Dragon IP has managed to gross ¥148.584 billion in sales ($1.46 billion) in 2013, which is staggering. Here’s a breakdown of the sales in English, courtesy of NeoGAF user Road:

However, this news comes with worrying implications because, as also detailed in the report, those earnings are over 90 percent of their total sales in 2013. The company made ¥157.239 billion in sales total ($1.57 billion).

Hopefully the company will develop more unique and successful IPs in the future, as it’s dangerous to put all of their eggs into one basket.

I've played and it exploits two very popular things and pushes together. I really don't like it at all, but I know why it's such a cash cow.

I played it for a bit, it is essentially bejeweled with a quest and Pokemon like monster collection mechanic. It is not terrible, but I got bored with after about a week and never spent a dime on it. I have no clue why anyone would spend money on it, much less the exorbitant funds some have.

Wow it made more money in Play store than App Store.
