Forums - Nintendo - Tomodachi Collection: New Life seeing localization

Wall Street JournaComing from a Wall Street Journal feature with Satoru Iwata...

The company is now working to decide what can be kept and what needs to be scrapped for its overseas launch of “Tomodachi Collection” — or “Friend Collection” — a 3DS life simulation game in which Miis from consoles can interact with one another and develop via mundane activities, such as exchanging food and clothing. “It’s all about balance,” Iwata said.

We heard rumblings of the title possibly coming our way, but WSJ seems to confirm it. Man, count me on-board for that idea!

That description was pretty amusing, "develop by mundane activities". I suppose you could sum up Animal Crossing like that, but it's so much more enjoyable when you actually play it.

Anyway, if ever there was a time to launch Tomodachi in the west it'd be on the console with Animal Crossing & Disney Magic Castle already on it.

Awesome! I remember playing the original DS version. Glad to see the 3DS version being localized!

Don't bump threads like this, please.

The big question now is of course: will Nintendo need a dedicated marketing push to explain to consumers that Tomodachi Collection: New Life is not, in fact, the same thing as Animal Crossing: New Leaf? And: will gay weddings be in or out?

The only thing I know about this game is that is huge in Japan.

What's the gameplay like?
