What's the point of even mentioning the Vita? They won't release anything, and then we will hear from that Shahid guy about upcoming "big announcements" to get people excited for nothing.

I think it is damaging to the industry that gamers nowadays expect big reveals at every keynote, conference or show. Puts a lot of pressure on the devs and publishers and only leaves the gamers disappointed. The 3 big conventions are already too much.

at that time i'm most likely occupied with dark souls 2 so to hype me at that time it would really take something special. just saying...

Sad and most likely true.  At least Rogue Legacy is among them.  I wouldn't even need that if Konami and Capcom would have buckled down and given me a new Castlevania or Ghouls and Ghosts which also brings me to  my inevitable point.  If this game can fulfill my fix for that type of game play and is a smaller investment than their investment in triple AAA titles and developers isn't this really a win for them? I get what I want and they spend little to no money getting it to me.

Actually probelm lies in both sides. Sony makes any simple news as big (sly cooper game teaser in god of war ascention to any new news). And gaming media also makes any sony news as big news. This is the main reason. I usually reserve my hype for E3.

What I posted is what I think they should do with the vita.. Unfortunately it is as you basically said with your post, unlikely. A 149 vita with games priced at a reasonable price.. And more advertising should help a Lil at least
