Well thats the real issue here isnt it?

No not they are not, I dont know why people keep saying this. Fact is you dont get those numbers by JUST being frontloaded. COD games sell YEAR round, they are consistently in the top 50 until its follow up is released. Which is insane considering it is a yearly franchise. People are STILL buying GTA at full price. both PS3 and 360 versions are in the top ten and that game was released in SEPTEMBER. Its Februrary. being frontloaded is factually wrong.

But maybe you meant its not JUST frontloaded.

Yer sory not just indeed. Where as Nintendo systems games preorders are that frontloaded and people go buy the game. Which always makes me wonder why. Like we know the game will good but people jsut don't seem to preorder. I wonder if special editions and ultimate edtions etc which are limited make all the difference. It be nice to know how many COD players get the expensive one with the annual toy.

they do preorder. Ive seen all the big Ninty games on the preorder charts at some point in time. I think Ninty games just hit a ceiling of popularity and if im being frank they dont get marketed anywhere close to those of your average COD game.

yer but like the preorder numbers are so small in general at least here where I am. When you see a big game release there is always a que the Nintendo quie is like majority are people just grabbing the game of the shelf, where as GTA V it was a reorder collection que mainly.

however the way things are trending, it will end up being like GCN days where you will need to preorder to secue a copy, otherwise not enough will be produced for th emarket I am in as preorder will be the sale size lol.

We are already facing that problem in my country. There were not enough units of Super Mario 3D World, freaking Mario was out of stock for at least half the month of december, Call of Duty: Ghost was brought only to the people who pre-order it, not a single additional copy; similar situation with Assassin's Creed IV and Deus Ex.

rock bottom for the wiiu

DLC cancel rock bottom?  No, I think rock bottom would be Ubisoft cancelling Watch Dogs.

This too.
