If you like it, you should support it. The P2P model is alot better than the F2P in the long term. It filters the bad croud and keeps a steady flow of new content coming for the game. F2P just gives you a droplet here and there and tries to charge for every little item in an intrusive manner. Believe me, F2P is a really bad model. MMO's on that format are not worth playing. Also, the ammount of content they are adding with each patch really justifies the fee you pay. Did you see patch 2.1? Look here: http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/topics/detail/03843d6bf7ba69adc37d7955ff7af43f3c43828a Housing, arena PvP with its own skills, dungeons, raids, rep factions, treasure hunting, new story quests, etc. Most massive patch i have ever seen in an MMO. I resubbed because of that. I dont like the GCD beeing so long, but i can deal with it, when theres so much to do and the game looks amazing. |
Agreed, no f2p has good enough content nor would recoup the losses at launch of a major MMO not would have enough steadfy content updates. f2p is a shame. Not sure why 15 a month is such a nig deal for console gamers, I spend more a week on cofffee. F2p will not offer what a paid mmo will at launch. Group content and massive worlds and content that always changes is why p2p is a lot better. f2p is a bad model for gamers.
