Those posts don't really seem to be the best example to try and prove your over exaggerated point. Kowecki's tone in his posts has seemed to get worse since the release of X1, but that may be as a result of massive amounts of trolling / flamebaiting from xbox fanboys (the fans of the Xbox brand that have nothing better to do than try and bash it)
I do think that moderation does seem to be oversensitive at times, but this site is still a lot better off for since other sites let it go rampant and the discussions greatly suffer because of it. Especially the majority of sites you mentioned.
