Damnn!!! I thought it only worked with 4.5 but I guess they updated it! Thanks a lot!

It's strange how the only effort nintendo put to seriously stop piracy was the DSi since hackers still haven't been able to crack DSi mode yet and here we are 3 years later and we'll be able to play every 3DS game with the latest firmware supported.

I guess it's a gift that I am very in touch with the hacking and PC community. :;P

Hmm, actually... Maybe its not so hackable after all unless I am doing something wrong:

http://3ds-flashcard.com/blog/3ds-system-has-upgraded-to-7-1-0-14-which-flashcards-support-7-1-0-14/

Basically, according to those... The offical firmware has to be 4.5 or below but once its hacked, the firmware can be updated to 7.0+

I guess it really is only for 4.5 and under. Although they could release updates for 6.X and up.

Yeaa, I had a similar issue with I hacked my ps3 but luckly, that was easy to software downgrade but hacking it was still a bitch... Sighh Time to wait more for an alternative to Nintendo's Region Lock T_T

I never knew that region lock was such an issue. The people that do care are the ones that like niche games from foreign countries.

As for reports of bricking and such there are quite a few clones laucher firmwares and region free patches causing this.

No, it was Gateway and that's been confirmed. A lot of their competitors were stealing err- pirating their code,so they made it that if it detected competitors software on there, it would brick your 3DS. Kinda of funny that it's the pirates that go completely crazy to stop people from pirating their work, going much father than companies like EA or capcom would ever go :p

The actual thing was found on a forum where people figured out that it was Gateway that was doing this, forgot the name of the forum however. Still stay away from Gateway if you plan on using anything not made by them lol.

O.O

Well this will go mostly unnoticed cause people see EA as the bigger shit stain than gateway.

Of course they can't stop hacking.
