Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Leak Codename: Fusion DS and Termnial

Awesome!!!

Around the Network

Looks like a fanboys wet dream to me, the only RX series GPU to run 4.6tflops is a r9-290, to use that the system would need gddr5 not DDR4, and it would also drive the console price up past the Xbox one.

There's a reason why games consoles never use the current-latest graphics processors and instead opt for ones that are lower end or several years old.

The only way they could pull that out the bag would be to take a significant loss per unit sold, let's imagine that board meeting shall we.
"So we propose to sell the system for $300 and make a 250-300 dollar loss for each unit sold..." "so your solution to out lack of sales and drop in profits is to make a more expensive console and induce even higher losses? Get out and hand in your I'd card at the front desk"

A 290x on the next Nintendo? No way.

And so these specs and more have emerged in not one but two units called Nintendo Fusion DS and Terminal. Yes, that was the name of the Nintendo lead rock tour in the 2000s. So, what are those specs?

Those come from Gaminrealm, which also quotes one unnamed source stating - in an incredibly garbled manner:

"“Nintendo has already begin making demo software for the targeted prototype hardware in efforts to curb the Wii U mistake in the software pipeline (they started creating software after prototyping and were unable to give major software push the first two years as a result). Nintendo plans to make most of the software prototypes into games and applications around the launch of the unit.”

interesting wonder what the reasoning behind the bolded is

It's probably 4 GB for games and 2GB for the OS ;)

The fusion DS alone is more or less powerfull than x360?

Really? Everything sounded plausible until i read this. I'd guess the author included the 2GB DDR3 RAM in order to make it sound like it was backwards compatible with WIIU.

Or the faster 4GB are for games and the 2GB for the OS ;)

Indeed they did, 11 years ago.

Creation Date: 29-may-2003
If you ask me this is nothing more than a small relatively unknown gaming size capitalizing on the recent new hardware rumor for hits.

"Terminal" is the same term used in the recent Pokemon Plus and Minus rumors. To me that means they have the same degree of validity. In other words, this is complete BS.
