whats the status of shipment? still there or sold out?

There are only 15 left, now.  But they say more are on the way.

Are you telling me it sold nearly 1000 units in 35 minutes?

No.  In less than 20 hours, though.  ArmGunnar's post was ~20 hrs ago.  Of course, there's no telling how many units above 999 they had at that time, so it may have been much more than 1K sold.

Only 3 left, now.

False.I have 72 on my basket...

False. Read the red below the item in your basket.  By the time I post this, they most likely have 0 in stock, but more are on the way, so they are allowing you to buy more than what they have.  A preorder, if you will.

I'm confused with the numbers we keep seeing on VGC. It appears as if the shipments are still selling out rapidly and we know Sony can produce at least 1 million consoles a month ... So how do we then arrive at a figure of 140,000 for the week? I know it's worth considering the Japanese launch but I still don't think that accounts for these numbers.

The PS5 Exists.

Scalpers are out on Amazon UK, with cheapest PS4 now £423

Easy, Sony shipped 4,2 mi last year.

When they anounced that number in early January we all assumed they shipped more than that, ~ 5mi.

So, in theory Sony had ZERO consoles to sell the first 2 weeks of January. And we know that was not the case, there were many units WW for whole month. Unless, of course, Sony counts their shippment very differently than Microsoft.

A interesting way to figure out if there are new batches from factory is if the new consoles still require the mandatory day one update. Or just look at the firmware version.

I could have sworn they went out of their way to say 'sold through'?
