I think they're spot on with the tech but you shouldn't be whoring out your IP like this.

Why not?

Because? Even the hottest women on the planet gets old after you've banged her a million times. Less is more in the gaming industry.

We must be in a misunderstandment. I tougth IP= internet provied. This is not about you are talking about, is it?

If your IP is on every device, then you've managed to fraction the fan base. That's not good for Sony because it means stretching your teams out too thin. Do you realize how much resources this is going to eat up? Before, all they had to do was focus on one piece of hardware. Now, they need to do market research on everything. All of the different demographs, all of the different markets...it's too much and it's going to water the entire thing down to where it doesn't really have a cult following anymore.

Being a PS gamer meant something before. But once the brand "Playstation" becomes just a software platform, then they're just another developer. Sound familiar? *cough* Sega *cough*.

You really need to do your research because you don't know anything.YOu cannot play PS4 games without a PS4 period and PSnow is only streaming old games. That means future PS consoles will only allow you to play those games on that console.Ignorant thread of the year award to you.LOL@ not owning PSX/PS2 or PS3.YOu missed out on the best of gaming for those generations.Fail.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Once PS4 is 3 years old they'll start putting year 1 PS4 games on PS Now. Interestingly the PS console you will want for PS Now is a PS Vita so you can play on that while your TV is being used for other things, and you cannot get the proper gaming experience on a smartphone or tablet.

the service will be a good way to play Playstation games for people who only are interested in a few story-single player games (competitive multiplayer games and very latency depended games like Beat'emUps will be significantly better to play on the real console for atleast the next 10 years) to get their fix without having to pay for a console

Sony is trying to increase their userbase that way, which looks very essential for the industry as especially highly cinematic games are becoming more and more expensive to produce

with PSNow a publisher that releases on PS systems also has the option to serve their games to hundreds of millions of smart TV/ smart device owners with no additional effort
