Forums - General - Are Precious Metals Doomed??

I think those metals will become irrelevant when we start running out of the rare earth metals. Suddenly the gold and silver price will dwarf against them. I'd rather invest in them.

?? Gold and Silver ARE the rare earth metals along with platinum rhodium etc

Around the Network

No, they are the PRECIOUS metals. I'm talking about the rare ones. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rare_earth_element
They are hard to come by but are used in production for a lot of techno gadgets. And since those are pretty much over produced these days and are not properly recycled there soon will be a major shortage.
I already fear for a steep incline in gadget prices in the next few decades if they don't start effectively recycling those metals.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

So I've been looking into gold and it has a few bullish signals though.

A shoulder head shoulder on the 4hour chart, which can indicate a change of trend.

But to change the trend gold first needs to break this lines

I'd still be cautious though. If you invest in gold I advice you to watch the chart active and look foor bearish signals.

EDIT: You can also see a nice double down which is also a very bullish signal.

This line is broken for your information. Up to the next?

Who needs fancy charts? Just watch the commercials on TV and do the exact opposite of what they want you to do.
