Forums - Gaming - Are Different SKUs D00med?

Remember all the different Xbox 360 SKUs that came out, a 360 without a harddrive, 360 with a small harddrive, 360 with a large harddrive? Not only does this confuse people to buy the cheapest version but it puts people at a disadvantage, they can't play certain games and they can't play online. This is why a Kinect-less Xbox One will not come out. Developers everywhere are using Kinect and will have to scrap projects if the Xbox One is sold without Kinect. Certain apps will have to be scraped, Microsoft will have wasted time.

Both the Xbox One and PS4 are successful with only one SKU

Wii U has multiple SKUs and it has done nothing to help sales. It only confuses more people into thinking the WIi U is another version of the Wii

I am not talking about bundles, those will always stay. I mean Microsoft and Sony will NOT release skimpy versions of their consoles in order to get a price advantage. Who's with me?

As a Paperweight?^^

There will be SKUs with bigger hard drives. Overall I see a lot of potential of cheaper SKUs for the X1 but don't really see how they could cut anything on the PS4 to make it cheaper.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I'm willing to bet Microsoft will announce a Kinect-less SKU this year.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
