Forums - Nintendo - Would you game on something like this??

According to the internet Nintendo is doomed and its all about going 3rd party and making games for smartphones.

So would you invest in a Nintendo Smartphone that can run a dual OS of say Android and 3DS (just as an example, could be other OS')

Nope.

Honestly if that was the only way to play certain Nintendo games, I'd get a good phone and just buy that as well for games only.

I would download a 3DS app and buy a controller addon like in the first pic. If it were available for my smartphone. But I definetly wouldnt give up on any of the features my current smartphone has and I doubt a Nintendo Smartphone would be on the same level as my phone right now.

Hmm... See, one thing Nintendo did right with the wiiU is they managed to make gaming on a tablet comfortable... Those pictures just look lolz worthy and uncomfortable to play with... If Tablet really is where Nintendo is heading (Which I doubt with the sales of wiiU), then I hope their design is better than these

Mobile versions of consoles are a bad idea, ngage and xperia play anyone?

Mobile versions of consoles ? You mean like 3DS DS Gameboy and PSP ? Its like always a plan succeeds if the execution of said plan is good. If Nintendo markets this thing big. Brings all the big titles and markets their addons for different phone manufacturers they will succeed especially if the experience to their mobile consoles is equal or even superior people will buy it. I doubt that Nintendo can succeed with a Smartphone+handheld cross though because of the high expectations people put into smartphones these days.

Its all just semantics the concept is almost exactly the same in the end. Phones and handhelds can be the same thing. I dont see much difference between those two Nintendo could put the same effort in establishing a Platform agnostic gaming service on phones and there is no reason why they can not succeed. Who wants to  carry around two devices anyway.
