Forums - Gaming - Your main console just pulled a Dreamcast, now what?

I'd buy the other consoles, but then again, I already planned buying all the other consoles even if my main console didnt pull a DC.

They seem to have all moved on. I don't want to bring up bad memories...

You must not know Blacksaber.

OT: I would die. My life source is Nintendo. When they go kaput, I go kaput.

I'd just get another system/end thread.

You could have just asked the Sega fans themselves with the title: Your main console WAS a Dreamcast...now what?"

I was very lucky in that respect as i liked playstation aswell so my cuts didnt run too deep.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Honestly if the Wii U went, I'd probably be okay with the 3DS for a little while. I'd probably eventually get a PS4 but I wouldn't, like, run out to get it immediately. I actually might even get a PS3 instead and catch up on those games.

I'd go where Nintendo went.

honestly with steam I don't see the need for a console other than Nintendo consoles. but if they hypothetically did go 3rd party I would stop buying consoles since they most likely would be on PC :P

but as Nintendo has said before, they will not go third party as they would just leave gaming all together

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

If the PS4 somehow died this year...

I would likely be stunned and confused and need some time. Then I would likely see the fall out of such a massive event. Where does Naughty Dog go? Where will all my JRPGs land?

My guess is there would be a split with Microsoft getting western titles and Nintendo getting eastern ones.

I would go first with Wii U, but given what X1 would gain I would acquire it soon after.

It'd be retro and PC gaming for this Nintendo fan, unless some PlayStation system finally offered enough great JRPG's to be worth my time and money.

Funny you should say that, because the Playstation is the best system to own if you're interested in JRPGs.  Unless you're only talking about new RPGs and generalizing Playstation to mean PS4 and Vita only.  You did say retro, but you could just mean sticking to retro Nintendo games.

I'd do what I did when the Dreamcast went by the way side and spend the next couple of years buying clearance current generation software for couple of quid a pop and play the crap out of the system's lineup.

Though I'm not a 1 system gamer, I always just buy systems if there are games I want on them. Currently have a Wii U and a PS4 so if either of them went, again I'd pick up the remaining software I wanted for the dead console on the cheap, then just stick with the other one (and probably end up with an XB1 as well eventually).
