Good good, the more negative reviews, the more chance that this game will go on sale so I can get it.

...that is one way to approach the situation...I guess ?

The game will bomb down to 20 bucks a few weeks after release regardless of the reviews, the same happaned with XIII-2

XIII-2 was massively overshipped, that mistake will not happen again.

is that why the price dropped so fast? makes sense

Another post along these lines, did they? I saw a few places put it down to $40 a few months after release, but that's hardly the price dropping fast.

i saw it dropping much faster than that. it was 40 after about 2 months on market. It hit the 20-30 dollar range in less than a year. It dropped in price much faster than ff3 did

Game came out in January 31st 2012 in NA for $59.99.

I bought the game new condition on June 2012 for $19.99 off of Amazon - Best Buy and Walmart at two different times around the summer also had it at that price and Best Buy had it as "Clearance" lol.

damn that was even faster than i remember

Good, now this is being reviewed and will be out soon maybe SquEnix can get back to making actual Final Fantasy games and not dress up fetish games again.

They need to get into a routine, have 3 development teams trying to make a FF game once every 1.5-2 years. Only announce another once the last one has been released.

... huh, I can dream.

Hmm, pie.

Which amazon and shops are you buying from? I didn't think there would be many walmarts and best buys in India.

I hated FFXIII and FFXIII-2.
Don't get me wrong, they were good games, i beat both and enjoyed them. But this is Final Fantasy, being a good game isn't enough for Final Fantasy. For FF, i expect the best only.
The FF XIII battle system was the only good thing going for it. The story telling was awful, i hated the lack of freedom and the extreme linearity of it. FF XIII-2 solved some things, but at the same time, it had its own mistakes.

I will play LR, but until I find it cheap.

Man I liked the whole FFXIII sci-fi/1984 vibe story.

But I'm a huge fan of Phantasy Star 2 the first console sci-fi RPG, and sci fi movies in gerneral 2001 to Blade Runner to Oblivion etc, and George Orwells distopyian novel. You're probly into LOTRS, I find LOTR boring af and a lot of older FF's have that LOTR feel like their going camping staying at the INN and attacking beasts with sticks and wands, and later you get a shiny big sword instead of a stick...and then there is some ultimate evil sorceror/dictator/hitler type to destroy. Yuck it's been over done and FFXIII had that updated story feels for me, with by and far the best battle system since FFIV which was released in late 1991. It's been awile.

I hope LR is a nice climax and close to the story.

I'm more into Sci-fi than into LOTR. Also, I liked the story  in FFXIII, it had potential. What I didn't liked is the storytelling. The way the story was delivered, not the story per se.

Crap I loved the amazing cinematics more than ever, and the Datalog entries for the History and Myth of Final Fantasy XIII. Which was the first time it has appeared in a FF I believe, and that is called innovation among the battle system along with the sci-fi influenced story for this franchise. But of course you and every other FFXIII disliker gotta say something along the lines of... oh that just sux, and it's crap, I hate it, it's different. And they cannot even create any valid points just pathetic sounding generilzed dislikes.

Which reminds me identically of a child who wants to express or explain themselves. And why they don't like something, and just pulling from all the hate and crap that their parents or society have crammed into their head from the start, and in fear of expressing a real opinion with real information they should just say they don't like it because it sux basically. Yet at their core it's because a mommy or daddy or society has told them what to do cradle to the grave, and they buy in hook line and sinker.

FFXIII implemented the The best of both worlds cinematics and if you forget a piece of info start reading up on a subject. Innovative title that should not be missed because some robot parrot sheeple says bah it sux. Bring it next time folks.

WTF? I never said it sucked. I actually said It's a good game and I liked the battle system. I just disliked the storytelling.

Some point for you:

-I never said  something along the lines of... oh that just sux, and it's crap, I hate it, it's different. As you say I did

-I like the game.

-I liked the battle system... very much

-I think the story was good.

-I think the storytelling wasn't. I think the datalog wasn't the best way to tell certain important story facts.

-If they are "general complaints" it's because of something.

I agree with the cinematics thing. They were great.

-I think FF deserves more.

Finally, this: "Innovative title that should not be missed because some robot parrot sheeple says bah it sux".

That makes me realize you can't have a discussion in a friendly and matter. I'm not atttacking you and I'm not even attacking a game you love, so, why do you attack me? Why do you imply I'm a robot parrot sheeple? I never said "bah it sucked". Why do you say I remind you of a kid? Just because I said the game is good or just because I said the storytelling wasn't stellar?

If me saying this was a good game gets this reaction, what would someone who says the game sucks get?

I won't continue this discussion as I have no interest of being called names anymore, just for expressing an opinion (an honest one).

I'm expecting this to only sell 1.5 million worldwide. No way it will sell over 2 million.
