No i wont hate ff15 because that game is versus 13 which if im being honest was the game i was already more interested, its just a more over the top Kingdom Hearts...and i LIKE KHs so i dont see how I could hate that game, since it wont play anything like the 13 series. Didnt even bother with 13-2 the plot for 13 didnt put warm feelings in me, and from what ive heard 13-2 is just as bad if not worst.

like an MMO, never thought of that before, that would explain my disdain for the game, I dont like MMOs, matter of fact. STOP trying make your JRPGs into MMOs Square, you have a two money sinks for that. Staggering system is ok, i could have taken it or left it. it didnt add any enjoyment for me but didnt take anything away. Customizing weapons are cool, but thats been done befoere glad they implemented it in FF. I hated the TP, rather MP at least with MP i know my strength progress and im not running around grinding to an invisible number. ATB i get it, i see what they were trying to do, but i didnt like it, the way it was done was kinda all over the place. IMHO it was better done and paced in the older games. I though the Paradigm shift system was terrible, thats just me its no subsitute for actually picking what your characters would do, Id be more forgiving if we at least had the option.

No more random battles is cool.  This is truly a devisive game, you can hate it and be completly valid and love it and be completly valid.

True dat to FF15, was just poking some fun at ya :P. Although I wouldnt be surprised if they did change the system a bit considering its been what 5+ years since the announcement of VS13 - they probably did a change up in the system, but not completely though.

I love KH's battle system and hopefully they dont change much of it.

I also agree with SE focusing on MMOing their games, the fact that they made two of their mainline games a MMO pisses me off still >.>. But its obvious there are several MMO elements in the past few installments of FF games. FFXII with its open world and gameplay style reflects a MMO's world and gameplay style, FFXIII with its roles reflect the roles of characters/players in MMOs, etc.

I hope they dont make anymore future FF mainline MMOs....make a FF ONLINE game as a separate series >.>. I also hope they dont make a trilogy like they did with XIII - not because I disliked XIII to a serious fault but because I feel they can do so much more considering what they were capable of in the past. FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX all came out year by year with a new engine and new changes from each other.

Now FFVII Crisis Core and Type-0 (from what I heard) were two great games - if they can manage to pull games like those two games, they'll do fine.

As for LR FFXIII I am not sure, mainly because of two things

1. Lightning as your only character, which means there will be limitations or huge changes to the gameplay. Unless of course if you have the ability to have two monster allies :o.
2. The Time limit scheme. Reminds me of BOF Dragon Quarter and RE Outbreak. Where you have a time limit and the ability to New Game+ with the same items, some stats, etc to the new game file. As much as that might sound interesting, that means they would have to sacrifice a bit on the storyline and the overall length of the game. At least that is what happened to BOF DQ compared to BOF1, 2, 3 and 4.

i think it will mostly be the same since the KH guy is still doing it and they are not going to throw all that work out. It will very much be a KH game on crack i think which i admit isnt exaclty FF but wont matter cause it will be fun (i hope so) and thats all that matters.

I never really got why people didnt like the MMOs to be mainline games, i mean i get it, but it doesnt bother me that much. I just skip them.

I dont think Square spent that much money on those engines in the PS1 era. From what i heard this whole FF venture was very expensive, and thats just the engine part. it makes sense that they would make more games using the same one after sinking so much money in a mad attempt to get it back.

crisis core and type 0 were both great, hell type 0 is just a better crisis core and the fact that Square wont localize shows me just how stupid they are it literally the best thing to come out of this entire 13 venture, maybe in the past decade.

From what i heard their are no teammates. I dont like Lighting as a character so the idea of staying with her the whole thing...i will pass. As for your second point. actually read the guys reviews in the OP he addresses that and thats exactly what seems to have happened.

the fact that you cant even control your other party members shows that it is not FF style, thats barely RPG style

I agree with this too. The fact that you cant control your other party members was a let down for me as well however FFXIII isnt the first game to implement that though, FFXII also did that and I'm sure all future FF games will be like that.

Alongside the elimination of MP (which I enjoyed), the summon system, and the fact that they heal up your whole HP bar after EACH battle were cons for me in the combat system.

No FF12 didnt do that, well thats a lie it did, but you had the OPTION to control your party members. FF13 was the first game in the main series to not give you that option and that pretty sums up my issues with FF13 as a whole...streamline. Everything was so streamlined combat, the world, hell the characters themselves. It never felt like i was playing a JRPG, it felt like I was playing...hell i dont even know what it was to be honest. Like a dungeon crawler, but a crappy one. And i dont care for dungeon crawlers. But i get how people would enjoy that. I wouldnt even have minded if the story was good, but i found it to be terrible, i hated combat in FF12 but at least the world and characters were interesting (not you Vaan)

it seems like you have a more than a few cons, so im curious to know what about the battle system you liked. Cause i couldnt even enjoy the summons, they felt useless most of the time. FYI Im not trying to trick you into admitting the game was bad or something silly, you at the least attempt to explain why you like it instead of most people blindly defending it.

I loved using Sazh's Eidolon Brynhilder, then Paradigm shift Expoiltation to debuff, and then Aggression until staggered with Sazh's skill Cold Blood, then finish with Cerberus to farm trapezohedron and Platinum Ignots in Eden Hall. The end area with the save spot and 2 sets of guards if you've never played it. There's a certain set of accessory/equipment I used where I could get my TP guage charged back up to 3 (you need at least 3 TP to summon Eidolons and that is the easiest way to drop the Adamantoise there, and after summoning you get full health if he stomped you once. The drop prevents him from attacking your party for a few minutes) and thencontinue to grind that 3 mob circle infinetly to craft all the ultimate weapons and platinum ignots to get my chars rich. I used Lightning Sazh and Fang (fang is cool because she gets a debuff modifier improved debilitation II with the Pandoran Spear/Calamity Spear/ Ultimate Kain's Lance which isn't even necessary but I loved the Ultimate Weapons idea's in this game. You can also use Snow in place of Lightning too because he can have a higher attack and by default has higher hp than lightning can get. Accessorys were like Energy Sashs, Canatalogs, and Certain wepons have TP buff to, but I believe they implement the Stagger lock and that prevents stagger status which is needed because the Adamatoise has tons of health. I believe over 5 million for that one, so not getting a stager lock and the 900% damage increase is mission critical if you want to chop it down for the best drops in the entire game. ;) I probly spent over 10 hours doing that, and it was AWESOME!

yes but you are still not picking actual ACTIONS, you can switch all you want but you are still leaving the actual actions to the AI. You are still essentially using one character at a time. I played the game and I know all that. Now you had fun with it and thats great it truly is. I didnt, its really that simple the system to me was kinda meh. and no amount of description of what YOU did in the game is going to change that.

That's actually closer to what FFXIII should have gotten. It's hardly a RPG and just a corridor simulator.

I have no idea why they keep pumping out games for it. Hopefully FF14 is much, much better.

The AI doesn't create all the paradigms, you do.  If you can't figure that out then you go nowhere in the game. Exactly like your point on this subject.  You played the game like you said, you never finished the game like I predicted.

You mean FF15 o.O. FF14 is already out and is a MMO n__n.

Yeah thought I missed something. I really wish they'd name the MMO's something else because it's not like it's a part of the main series or anything, but what are you going to do I guess...It's their franchise.

Because of MMO we lost XI and XIV... that is why we needed X-2 and XIII-2

Yeah, and it's not like the MMO's are gaming changers or anything, no reason for them to take up main entries in the series.

Agree... just do like WoW and use just FF Online and keep updating it.

Unfortunately the way it sales though, it'll never happen.

I just hope they can make the real FF games great again. If they do that, they can name the side crap whatever they want.

Yep... they could keep on using the same level of engine they used on PS3, but use the extra power of PS4 to make bigger worlds not just prettier graphics.
