This is from a day or so ago, but I didn't see it mentioned on here so I wanted to share it with all of you...
Greg Martin, a long time gaming box art designer, passed away recently. If you grew up during gaming's "golden age" from the 8 and 16-bit eras of the early 90's like me, or even if you are just a sucker for old school box art, then you will surely recognize his works, some of which are legendary and very near and dear to many a gamer.
Greg started out working for Hannah Barbera studios (alongside Seth MacFarlane of "Family Guy" fame of all people, no less), where he worked on some of their most famous IPs like the Flintsones, Jetsons, and Yogi Bear. He later worked for both Nintendo and SEGA among other companies, creating the box art for many different titles across the NES, SNES, GB, Genesis and Game Gear, including the cover art for titles starring a certain blue hedgehog that I'm sure you're all quite familiar with.

And here are some samples of his work... you can just feel the nostalgia rushing through you as you instantly recognize some of the most classic games of the 2D era, and then realize all this great artwork was done by the same brilliant mind and hands...
