So, I was doing some research into gaming trends to support conspiracy theories and I have and stumbled on something.
Sony has a number of exclusives I find very interesting but I found it interesting to note that last gen only 7 or so of the PS3's top 30 selling games were Sony published, whereas around 11 of 360's were Microsoft. (At the time I was using the 3DS for Nintendo's stand-in since it has good third-party support... dwarves both with around 22, as expected.)
It made me wonder, should Sony try to push more first-party titles and publishing arrangements? What are some first party titles you'd like to see Sony revive that weren't around in the PS3 era? And should they make an effort to have a stronger first-party line-up this time? (Granted, that doesn't always helps sales, but it does usually help ensure profit.)
Granted there is alot to be said for not making yourself a force that third-party devs have to fight against to stand out on your console.
