I'm going to predict somewhere between 6-7m by the end of the fiscal year.

Try leaving your house instead of relying on a website that only looks at other websites. Its starting to show IN STORES in small amounts. I've seen it as have others on this site. It will need to build up in stores before some sites start to show qty to order. Same thing happened with Xbone. First you see trickling stock in stores. Then you see forced bundles online. Then you see normal solo product online. That all happened with Xbone from a week or so before Xmas until now where nearly every site has it available in its regular $499 price option online. |
uhm no. No one is seeing PS4s anywhere in stores. I have been to 10 stores today, 0 PS4 in stock. People from all over the world say the same thing, PS4 is nowhere to be found. I hear some people even travel 100 miles just to get a PS4 from a place that has them in stock, only to be disappointed because they were sold out by the time they arrived. Gamestop managers laugh you out of the store if you ask for a PS4. They're all SOLD OUT. Demand far exceed supply, unlike the Xbone which was in stock ithe week it was released.
PS4 demand will continue to be crazy, Sony can up production to 1.5-2 million and maybe things will start to look better.

Hehe lets follow how fast they go out of their stock. Amazon last time received 60-70k consoles based on the amount of time it was available and selling 1000 consoles in the last 30 minutes.

Only after March 31st and not a day before.

Three were in stock yesterday at my Walmart. Other users posted today with same info as well as Target. You can't make grand proclamations as 'no one is seeing them anywhere' etc.
They are trickling in stock right now. Just as ethomaz and I were discussing above.

Your walmart isnt every walmart though and there are far more people claiming that ps4 is sold out at their local stores than people claiming they're in stock. Actually you are the first one to ever report that PS4s lying in a store. How long until they were snatched lol? PS4 won't be freely available in stores for months just like the Wii. If they don't increase production we might see supply issues for the entire year. Unlike the Xbone which was freely available since early december and the reason why we're seeing scalpers losing money on their Xbone by selling them BELOW the RETAIL PRICE.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."
I'm going to say 6 million. Even with how amazingly well the PS4 has done and even with Japan getting it next month the launch craze will die down and the holidays are over. It could do more than that and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if it did in fact hit 7 million or damn close. However, I think 8 million would be a best case scenario that would rely on many different factors that won't likely hang around long enough to make it happen. If it does happen to sell that many by March then prepare to hear a lot of "The Second Coming of PlayStation 2". I may be cheering for Sony but my gawd that will be obnoxious.
