More  like what is the point of not buying at launch. PS4 has the better versions of games  and it will still cost 400$ in the Fall. So why buy the PS3 versions until then and just get a lesser experience without saving money?

I think Sony can reach 6M and maybe 7M but 8M hmm... I dunno... maybe, if sales holds up in the west and the Japanese launch is bigger than what most of us are anticipating.

Can it? sure.
Will it? no.

Stock is already starting to show, meaning crazy demand is done.

Its at 4m now, likely 2m to 3m max by March.

8 million is possible, but 6.5 Million seems like a reasonable estimation.  I'm amazed so many took the pludge and bought them around launch...

Like others have said, Sony will sell as many as they can produce for quite a while so 8 mil is possible, although I see it being more like 7.
