The Playstation 1. It was like magic. It instilled in me an almost Pavlovian response toward playing video-games. I suppose some of that was because Suikoden, Final Fantasy, and Gran Turismo were just moments away, but still.

The DreamCast is a close second. A seriously awesome opening.

I loved the Gamecube's the best. Followed by the PS1 and then the simple, but elegant Game Boy Color's.

Yeah, that was really good too. I was really afraid of the menu for the GameCube, for some reason. It seems weird that 2 of my biggest fears ever had to do with the boot menus for the PS2 and GC.

Why the Gamecube one?

I'm not scared of the boot screen, but I'm scared of the boot menu. The music and atmosphere really freaked me out for some reason, I don't know why.

Ooh gotcha. Yeah the 6th gen consoles generally had spooky ambience in the background for some reason, it's acutally kind of nostalgic haha.
