With Just Dance 2014 now out and sales down across the board, (Wii sku 2 million less then last years iteration at this time and counting) this would have been a perfect time for MS to launch an all new Dance Central for Kinect 2.0 and capture that audience completely from the Ubisoft/Nintendo sector.

Maybe they’re saving it for next Christmas?   What do you think?  Will Dance Central come back and be the place to be for Dance players going forward?  Or is the genre now a flash in the pan and toast?   (Guitar Hero/RockBand)

The studio is busy with Fantasia: Music Evolved, that composer Kinect game right now, but Dance Central will most likely be back. The series is almost 6m sold.

I didn't know Harmonix was doing that game, what a letdown.

I don't think there's really an audience to capture. The lower sales of Just Dance 2014 are probably due to saturation of the dancing game genre, so if Dance Central 4 would be released right now it wouldn't see increased sales but lowered sales like Just Dance.

Dude you underestimate the power of wives/girlfriends. They love that dance shit. My sister was gonna buy an Xbox One just because its the only one that has Zumba Fitness.

Not really, the sales of the current edition of Just Dance being down YoY show a decline in the demand for that type of game. There's still plenty of people who do like those games but maybe some got tired of it or others judge that they already have enough dancing games to satisfy their needs.

No doubt there is saturation in this genre but for the X1 launch MS could have done some great marketing for it with some sort of 2.0 realistic feature(s) and it would have complemented Zumba and Kinect Fitness well for their Kinect user base.

I went from loving Dance Central 1 with a passion to being burned out by more of the same with Dance Central 3. Maybe it's a good idea to let the series rest. It would be great to have on Xbox One but everything in due time.

Everyone that's played says the love it.  Really new and interesting gameplay.

But I'm still wondering where the new "Dance Central" is too.  "Just Dance" tends to have better music, in my opinion, but the controls and the gameplay are much better on "Dance Central. "
