I does look like Sonic is headed to Hyrule...

But there's a much more interesting thing to take from this. Sonic is heading to Hyrule, and to Yoshi's Island... which means he's not, in the Sonic Lost World DLC, heading to the most obvious place for him to go to.

That's right - I'm suggesting that this is evidence for the third Sonic title being Mario x Sonic (an adventure title, not Olympics).
